Local Security Expert provides independent, buyer-side reviews of professionally prepared video surveillance and physical security proposals.

The service is intended to help customers understand:

• What the supplied proposal documents state
• What appears to be included
• What information is unclear or incomplete
• What assumptions may require confirmation
• What questions should be resolved before signing or purchasing

The service is based on documentation and information supplied by the customer.

3. Independent Status

Local Security Expert provides an independent second opinion.

Unless expressly disclosed in writing for a specific engagement, Local Security Expert is not acting as:

• The customer’s security integrator
• The proposal provider
• An equipment dealer
• A manufacturer
• A manufacturer’s representative
• An installation contractor
• An engineer or architectural firm
• A code official
• An insurance adviser
• A law firm
• A project manager

Local Security Expert does not receive authorization to redesign, approve, install, commission, certify, or operate the proposed security system through the standard Security Proposal Review service.

4. No Engineering or Design Certification

Information concerning camera selection, application, placement assumptions, resolution, storage, retention, recording architecture, networking, licensing, system architecture, scalability, or operational fit is provided solely as part of a document review.

Local Security Expert does not provide:

Findings concerning placement, coverage, storage, system capacity, connectivity, and operational fit are based on the supplied documentation and may change if actual site conditions differ.

7. No Guarantee of Performance or Outcome

Local Security Expert does not guarantee that a proposed security system will:

• Prevent crime, loss, injury, or unauthorized activity
• Detect every incident
• Record every event
• Produce identifiable images under all conditions
• Retain recordings for a particular period under every operating condition
• Maintain uninterrupted remote access
• Meet every operational expectation
• Satisfy law-enforcement, insurance, evidentiary, contractual, or regulatory requirements
• Be installed correctly
• Be completed on time or within budget

Local Security Expert also does not guarantee that a review will produce:

• Cost savings
• A lower proposal price
• A contract change
• A particular finding
• Acceptance of a recommendation
• A successful negotiation
• A particular purchasing decision

The customer remains responsible for the final decision and for obtaining appropriate written confirmation from the proposal provider and other qualified parties.

8. Accuracy and Availability of Information
